Hanura Valley
Wiki Entry
Nestled between crumbling mountain ridges and dry rolling hills, Hanura Valley was once a tranquil breadbasket for the Folk, and a hub for travelers making their way to the Human city of Marr. However, the past decade has brought slow decay - goblin incursions from the Severed Peaks, sandworm infestations migrating from the Desert of Raihan, and the corruption leaking from the Hanura Caverns have left the valley scarred and afraid. The town of Hanura endures, surrounded by fading farms and fields of ruined grain. Its people are resilient but desperate. Children whisper about creatures watching from the wheat, and even seasoned militia speak in hushed tones about a cursed darkness rising in the land. Named from the town within it - this is where the folk begin their journey (for now) Folk start in Hanura village, a small farming town. The town is a convergence point for refugees heading to Marr and warriors from the west coming to join the fight against the Gresh. There is a relatively safe road to follow to Marr Outskirts to the east, where the rolling grassy hills give way to encroaching deset sands. There are entrances to Hanura Caverns to the north and the Underroot dungeon to the south. Above the village cliffs lies Watcher's Bluff, the once peaceful graveyard and crypt area now infested with necromancers and walking dead.
